Our instructor is correct. There is a lot of thinking that should be done before any "hands-on-task" work begins. Faculty are like all the rest of us—we want to get to the fun stuff! Who wants to sit down and think about what we're going to do when we could be doing it? But thinking and planning helps us learn the best way to move the content that we need in our online course. We need to plan necessary adjustments for things that we want to keep but won't work in quite the same manner online as in a face-to-face classroom.
