When Does Development End
Joshua Steimile posted an article on the Entrepreneur website in April 2014 with the headline "3 Reasons Your Website Will Never Be Finished." Particularly applicable to online learning are his first two points: (1) trends are evolving, and (2) consumer preferences are changing. We know that healthcare is changing. Technology is always changing. Our students are changing. WE are changing!
These merge into the perfect storm.

You will never sit back, breathe a sigh of relief, and say,
'Finally! We’ve got this thing wrapped up; now we can move onto other things.'
SteimileSo what are you to do? Do the best you can do with the time and talents you have. Acknowledge that you can't develop a perfect course that will be completely finished on some particular date. Be willing to "put some things on the burner" and implement or explore them later. Think of your web course as being developed in phases. You can always pilot the latest, greatest technology in little ways and keep your course current and fresh without killing yourself trying to do it all at once.
Next you have a short quiz to test your knowledge of the content of this section. The section concludes with resources for you. The final section in this module is about teaching the course.
